Lake Management Services Privacy Notice
- Background and scope
This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how Lake Management Services L.P. (“Lake Management Services”, “we”, “our”) collects and protects the personal data of our clients under the Texas Data Security and Privacy Act (“TDPSA”).
Lake Management Services specializes in managing and servicing lakes and ponds. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our client’s personal data as part of providing our services.
- What Personal Data do we Collect?
Personal Data refers to any information that is linked or reasonably linkable to an identified or identifiable individual. Personal Data does not include publicly available information, or information that is deidentified information.
Lake Management Services processes the following categories of personal data:
- Identifiers: name and address; and
- Payment Information: credit card information or bank account information.
The above information may be collected about the user who creates an account or accesses their Lake Management Services account.
We do not collect sensitive information from you. This website and our services are not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18 and we do not intentionally collect personal information of minors.
- Why do we collect your Personal Data?
Lake Management Services collects Personal Data for the following purposes:
- providing our services, including providing lake and pond management services, creating and maintaining an account with us, and processing your payments;
- informing you about service updates, including new products, new services, and upcoming changes or improvements;
- complying with and enforcing our legal requirements, including regulatory reporting and compliance, requests from law enforcement, requests of governmental authorities, and valid court orders or from other valid legal process; and
- performing business functions necessary to support and maintain the business of Lake Management Services, including internal accounting and administration.
- Is Personal Data sold or shared with third parties?
No. Lake Management Services does not sell your personal data, including sensitive personal data.
- Is Personal Data disclosed?
Lake Management Services may disclose the categories of Identifiers and Payment Information to the persons or entities described in this Section. We do not disclose your Personal Data to other parties, except as described in this Notice. The parties to whom we disclose Personal Data in this Section are required to maintain the confidentiality of such Personal Data and are prohibited from using your Personal Data for purposes other than those agreed. As used in this section, “disclose” means transfer, send, or otherwise make available or accessible to another person or entity, but does not include selling as that term is defined under the TDPSA.
Your Personal Data may be disclosed to the following categories of third parties:
- Service providers, contractors, and suppliers who perform services to facilitate the business of Lake Management Services, such as accountants, auditors, attorneys, tax advisors, insurance brokers, entities assessing our compliance with industry standards, investigation providers, payment processing providers, security vendors, data technology vendors, and other similar services (“Service Providers”);
- Transactional parties, in the event of any contemplated or actual re-organization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stocks (“Transactional Parties”); and
- Government agencies, law enforcement authorities, or judicial bodies (“Governmental Authorities”).
- How may I exercise my rights?
You may exercise any of the following rights with respect to your Personal Data:
- Right to Know. You have the right to confirm whether we are processing your Personal Data and the right to access the Personal Data being processed.
- Right to Correct Inaccuracies. You have the right to correct inaccurate Personal Data or request inaccurate Personal Data be corrected.
- Right to Delete. You have the right to delete or have your Personal Data deleted, subject to certain exceptions. If an exception prevents us from deleting your Personal Data we will inform you at the time you make the request.
- Right to Obtain a Copy. You have the right to obtain a copy of your Personal Data in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format that will allow you to transmit the data to another.

To allow us to verify your identity, please provide us with your first and last name, your phone number, and your address. In your communication, please let us know which rights you wish to exercise. We will respond to your request within the 45-day period required by applicable law. In the event we cannot respond to your request, we will notify you of the reasons for the delay and the extended period for response. If we determine that we cannot respond to your request for any reason, we will notify you of the reasons for taking no action and for any instructions as to how to appeal.
You may use an authorized agent to exercise your rights on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide us with proof of your written permission (for example, a power of attorney) that demonstrates authorization to submit a request on your behalf. An authorized agent must follow the process described above to make a request and must verify the agent’s own identity.
- How secure is my Personal Data?
Lake Management Services maintains appropriate safeguards in place to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of your personal data. Safeguards may include administrative, physical, and electronic safeguards to protect against the unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, loss, or misuse of your personal data.
